We are seeking a reliable and efficient Dishwasher to join our team. The Dishwasher will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of all dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment. This role is crucial in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, supporting the smooth operation of our food service.
Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain the dishwashing machine, ensuring proper water temperature and detergent levels.
Wash dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans thoroughly and efficiently.
Hand-wash delicate items as required.
Ensure all items are properly sanitized and dried before storage.
Kitchen Maintenance:
Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the dishwashing station and surrounding areas.
Sweep and mop kitchen floors as needed.
Empty trash and recycling bins regularly.
Assist in cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment and surfaces.
Assist in the basic upkeep of the kitchen.
Assist kitchen staff with other tasks as needed, such as prepping ingredients or stocking supplies.
Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow.
Help to receive deliveries and put away stock.
Safety and Sanitation:
Adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines.
Handle cleaning chemicals safely and responsibly.
Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the supervisor.
Qualifications:
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
Previous dishwashing experience is a plus, but not always required.
Basic knowledge of kitchen sanitation and safety procedures.

Ability to work in a hot and humid environment.
