Job Description
Our client is seeking a Software Engineer for an exciting direct hire opportunity. DUTIES:- Work closely with the software development team to build new software product enhancements in the Windows and Web user interfaces, with an emphasis on building easy-to-use interfaces.
- Work on a small local cross-functional team in a fast-paced Agile Scrum environment releasing 4-5 versions each year.
- Prepare and present product designs to the team.
- Execute full software development life cycle (SDLC)
- Write well-designed, testable code
- Produce specifications and determine operational feasibility
- Integrate software components into a fully functional software system
- Develop software verification plans and quality assurance procedures
- Document and maintain software functionality
- Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing systems
- Deploy programs and evaluate user feedback
- Comply with project plans and industry standards
- Ensure software is updated with latest features
- 5+ years of software development experience using C#, ASP.NET and SQL Server.
- 3+ years of proven experience working with development teams building enterprise-class software applications at scale.
- HTML, XML, Web Services, CSS a plus?
- Experience designing interactive applications
- Excellent knowledge of relational databases, SQL and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate)
- Experience developing web applications using at least one popular web framework (JSF, Wicket, GWT, Spring MVC)
- BS Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field
- Ability to document requirements and specifications
- Proficiency in software engineering tools
- Experience with test-driven development
