Under FLSA guidelines, this position is non-exempt.The Pikes Peak Workforce Center (PPWFC) is a dual county consortium serving both El Paso and Teller Counties. This position plans and implements activities and functions of the coaching and recruitment process to ensure programmatic goals and objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frames, funding parameters, and organizational priorities. Performs a variety of tasks essential to office operations and provides excellent customer service to a diverse client base. Position is subject to grant funding.Essential Duties/Responsibilities

Interviews potential program participants, conducts eligibility and suitability screening, and matches customers with appropriate programs leading to unsubsidized employment. Assists clients in identifying personal goals, developing leadership skills, and planning career moves; ensures clients complete all pre-requisites for enrollment including testing if necessary.

Collaborates with the Program Services Team to create and execute or participate in targeted recruiting events, job fairs, and networking events.

Maintains accurate electronic and hard copy documentation. Enters data timely into appropriate Management Information Systems (MIS).

Stays abreast of employment trends, labor market changes, and changing laws and program requirements as they apply to programs administered by PPWFC.

Answers phones, greets customers and visitors, and provides excellent customer service.

Responds to phone, e-mail, and in-person requests for information from internal and external customers and outside agencies.

Composes and types general correspondence, letters, memos, procedures, and statistical reports; material may be technical, complex, and confidential in nature.

Performs specialized functions for internal departments and groups which may be of a complex, technical, or sensitive nature.

Performs search and job matching services for business customers and job seekers. Provides customer service and technical support in computer lab environment; assists customers with computer-based training needs, as well as basic academic skills and assessment programs. May proctor testing as directed.

Attends educational training sessions and staff meetings to enhance skills and program development.

Maintains knowledge of all grant programs to ensure customer's needs are met.

Performs other duties as required.

QualificationsKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction to internal customers, participants, and contracted customers.

Ability to identify opportunities and recommend actions for continuous improvement in all activities.

A flexible team player with the ability to work successfully in a changing environment. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment managing multiple priorities required.

Must possess a high level of professionalism, interpersonal skills, and integrity to handle sensitive and confidential situations and information.

Ability to communicate and work effectively with government officials, business leaders, regional partners, media outlets, colleagues, and the public.

Ability to build strong working relationships, both internal and external to the organization.

Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing, including the ability to deliver presentations and training and prepare reports.

Proficient in Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook. Must be receptive to adoption and application of new and innovative technologies and technological platforms.

Ability to perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner in accordance with Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), Wagner-Peyser, Workforce Development Board (WDB), El Paso County and PPWFC policies, programs, and guidelines to achieve the overall objectives of the position.

Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

Required Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent education.

Minimum two years experience in a customer service or recruitment capacity.

Any equivalent combination of related education and work experience that satisfy the requirements of the job will be considered.

Preferred Education and Experience:

Previous One-Stop Workforce Development experience.

Licenses/Certificates:

Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

Must pass conditional post offer background investigation, motor vehicle record check, and drug screen.

Work ConditionsDuties are primarily performed in an office environment; local travel is required. Will be required to work evenings and weekends as business needs dictate.
