Come be a part of what makes us so special!The OpportunityWe are seeking a dedicated Military Academy Relationship Advisor that lives in or will be willing to relocate to within 25 miles of Colorado Springs, CO.Relocation IS available for this position.As a dedicated Military Academy Relationship Advisor, you will develop and operate programs at Military Academies that establish and sustain relationships between the company, strategic partners and Military Academy Leaders. Analyze and assesses business opportunities for Unites States Military Academies with over 4,500 prospects, a critical pre-commissioning officer market segment. Use subject matter expertise, serves as a project leader for assessing current programs or developing new programs. Apply knowledge of the business, USAA products, and needs of the military community to organize, support, conduct or participate in national-level events highlighting the value of USAA membership, products, and services.What you'll do:

Develops, implements and manages Military Affairs Service Academy programs that establish and deepen relationships between the company, internal USAA stakeholders, Service Academy Leaders and other military installation leaders in assigned area of responsibility.

Influences strategic activities and executes local programs that directly lead to increased business opportunities and lead generation with the general military community while promoting and protecting the USAA brand, reputation and mission.

Dialogues with members and prospective members for feedback regarding USAA products and services. Provides competitive intelligence regarding competitor activity in area of assignment.

Leads and executes independent or joint events with multi-LOB teams, Service Academy staff, active-duty officers, cadets, midshipmen, enlisted personnel and veteran civilian employees.

Coordinates events with USAA home office Military Affairs staff and other internal stakeholders.

Acts as the single point of contact for Affinity engagement at the Service Academies and manages assigned Service Academy program expenses within annual budget to take advantage of local marketing and sponsorship activities.

Serves as the liaison between senior leaders at Service Academy and USAA senior leaders and facilitates communication to resolve business issues; utilizes subject matter expertise to make recommendations on the most productive Service Academy engagement strategy.

Guides Enterprise Marketing outlay for large USAA engagement opportunities on advertising channels, including digital and social.

Advises the Financial Center Manager on an appropriate and functionally integrated Academy/Installation engagement strategy.

Anticipates problem areas in critical relationship management with Service Academies and related Affinity groups, crafting solutions for effective resolution and minimizing negative impact on business operations.

Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.

What you have:

Bachelor’s degree from a Military Academy

6 years of experience engaging the military community, to include leadership or management experience.

Extensive knowledge of Cadets, Midshipmen, and Pre-commissioning, by serving in a capacity of direct support.

Extensive knowledge of Active Duty, National Guard, and Reserve Forces programs and services, knowledge gained from direct support, serving in the capacity to include deployments, training, and sustainment.

Extensive knowledge of military leadership structure and military installation functions

Demonstrated understanding of tactical, operational, and strategic planning, program development and project tracking, with the ability to create and understand business metrics.

Developed working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word and PowerPoint and other software to develop analyses, charts and supporting documentation.

Meets and maintains all USAA safety driving requirements.

Ability to work long hours and travel a minimum of 120 days per year to include extended overnight trips to include weekends.

What sets you apart:

USAFA Graduate

Military assignment within the last two years serving in a senior military leadership position.

Staff and leadership experience serving at a major military command or higher headquarters.

Extensive knowledge of military leadership structure and military installation functions.

Extensive knowledge of active duty, National Guard, military Reserve Forces programs and services.

Ability to work weekends in support of active-duty, National Guard and Reserve Force activities as necessary.

Ability to work long hours and travel a minimum of 120 days per year to include extended overnight trips to include weekends.

10-years or more experience engaging the military community.

Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, including lifting boxes, tent, and display in and out of a car.

Ability to spend long hours, up to 10 hours a day, on feet either indoors or outdoors.

Currently resides in Colorado Springs, CO or able to relocate to within 50 miles of this location.

You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location.
