Description We are offering a unique opportunity for a Bookkeeper in COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado. This role will primarily involve managing financial data, auditing spreadsheets, and processing invoices. The position is a short-term contract opportunity for a faith-based organization and will involve utilizing software like QuickBooks Online and Excel.Responsibilities: Oversee the entry of financial transactions into relevant software. Ensure the accuracy of general, revenue, and expense ledgers. Conduct reviews and processing of invoices and incoming bills. Prepare trial balances by reconciling entries. Collect and summarize current financial status by preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other reports. Audit records to verify correctness, timeliness, and adherence to procedures. Identify and rectify discrepancies in financial documents and reports. Manage all aspects of daily accounting. Prepare and provide financial information for audits. Manage monthly accounting closeout. Utilize accounting software to record, store, and analyze financial data. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, as well as organizational policies.Requirements Proficiency in Bookkeeping and Data Entry Demonstrated experience with Account Reconciliation Proficiency with Microsoft Excel Familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Experience in Bank Reconciliations Proficiency in Month End Close procedures Experience with Payroll processing Proficiency in using QuickBooks software Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team A proactive approach to problem-solving A commitment to continuous professional development.
