The Manager will oversee the Hospital Coding Audit and Education team. The Manager will integrate training and development strategies and programs for Hospital Coders employed by the CommonSpirit Health Mountain Region. Develops and implements strategic needs analyses and training plans for the region; coordinates and evaluates curriculum development and conducts the preparation and delivery of training. Oversees all program development and administrative aspects of the activity, to include development, technical coordination, and management of internal and/or external professional training and development and support staff. Provides guidance and leadership to coding audit and education management in the implementation and administration of effective systems, processes, and procedures.Along with CO, KS and NM, this position is open to remote/out of state candidates residing in only these states:

Qualifications:In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

High School Diploma/G.E.D. required

Associate's degree or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree, preferred

5 years of recent experience in coding, coder audits, education, and training

5 years of supervising/managing coding in a medium to large health system.

Advanced knowledge of hospital inpatient and outpatient coding rules and guidelines.

Advanced knowledge of NCCI, ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-CM-PCS, MS-DRGs, APR-DRGs, CPT, HCPCS, and modifiers.

Advanced knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, and pharmacology.

Strong organizational, planning, scheduling and project management abilities.

Excellent analytical ability to develop and analyze data to recommend solutions andsolve complex problems.

Experience with Epic and health care applications required.

Epic experience required.

Demonstrate advanced computer skills.

Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, organizational, presentation, time-management, multi-tasking, and communication skills with strong attention to detail.
