The Operations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the organization to ensure efficiency, quality, and productivity. This cross-functional role manages and oversees the warehouse, warranty, facilities and operational systems.  This role optimizes operational processes and their respective teams in the North America region to meet organizational goals and drives continuous improvement. This position will regularly communicate and interact with regional and global teams including Sales, Operations, Marketing, and Finance. The Operations Manager has a dual reporting structure to the General Manager – North America and Operations & Logistics Director. This individual must thrive in a fast-paced environment and be capable of prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously. The Operations Manager will work in tandem with various departments and maintain a flexible attitude, supporting all the work that helps in achieving organizational goals.Position DutiesMaintain Operations Team staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.Monitors performance, coaches and counsels as necessary, addresses performance issues, conducts performance reviews, provides staff with professional guidance and partners with staff in developing professional development plans.In partnership with Finance, create and manage annual Operations Department expense budget and ensure cost effectiveness.Optimize and maintain workflows between SAP, WMS, B2B, Zendesk, Shopify, and other supported applications.Ensure all new software applications and integrations have been thoroughly tested prior to launch and all necessary teams have been trained and SOPs developed.Analyze root causes of operational inefficiencies and provide input for resolving and improving the processes and procedures to enhance efficiencies and reduce costs.Work with IT team to upload large data sets into SAP and WMS systems and validate for accuracy.Liaise with Sales Director to ensure communication network is operating to provide world-class customer service and response times.Work with warranty team to measure, track, and report on product repairs and replacements.Work with data and EDI teams to implement new EDI trading partners and ensure customer compliance.Oversee inbound receiving calendar and ERP accurately reflects product arrival times while ensuring regular communication is occurring to relevant teams. Oversee Duty Drawback programs and data submissions to CBPOversee Canada imports from the US and oversee carrier pricing and contract reviews.Assist with carrier contract negotiations and obtain competitive carrier rates in various distribution networks, including Canada.Adhere to currently defined shipping lead times for customers and consumers. Identify and optimize areas in need.Orchestrate annual physical inventory and ensure compliance with auditing agency.Manage 3PL operations and ensure monthly inventory reconciliations are performed and disputed if necessary.Responsible for the operation and maintenance of all building systems.Supervise maintenance contractors including janitorial, HVAC, and work with property management for both Warehouse and Office maintenance inquiries.Enforce high standards of workplace safety and the maintenance and security of the building and meet OSHA, local, state, and federal regulation.Demonstrate “nimbility” by providing cross-functional support as needed.
