Must have soldering torch skills (micro torch and brazing torch) for Jewelry, small sculptural scale.
Minimum of 2 years experience in torch-based metal work/fabrication.
Proficient with oxy/acetylene/propane torch, safety procedures, changing tanks
Metal fabrication with copper, including soldering, bending, filing, cutting, sanding, electroplating
Light forging, hammer texturing, large bead forming usingdapping tools.
Proficient with flex shaft tools for minor shaping and polishing
Lift 50+lbs. regularly
Be able to stand and work for long periods
Ability to focus and do repetitive tasks as part of batch production work
Ability to follow instructions and receive constructive criticism well
Knowledge of basic PPE, eye & respiratory safety around soldering, plating, and pickle
Can work in silence or noisy shop environment depending on the work at hand
Strong work ethic, maintaining an organized work area, punctual, committed, and willing to learn
Reliable transportation
Be comfortable with switching gears in response to changing demands as orders come in
Work well under pressure during sales crunch time
Full-time (32-40hrs.) or part-time (20-30hrs.)
Be comfortable in a dog-friendly workplace
Be ableto work solo and in a team environment, with shared tools.
