I am looking for a mechanic who is old enough to know how to rebuild a carburator, but young enough to know how to operate and fix computerized stuff. We are a small construction company with a small shop. Most of your work will be in the shop, but sometimes you will need to go out in the mud and cold and fix something in the field.
I need an organized person who can take directions, be resourcefull and fix stuff. You must have all your own hand tools, including a scanner (a cheap one is ok) and other testing equipment. A mix between a common sense, shade tree mechanic and a computer savy jump on the internet and watch a video on fixing a certain item. Must be strong in electrical, profficient welder.
We run mostly older Chevy trucks, John Deere, Cat. Older but dependable. I am flexible with hours, but they need to be consistent and fit in the 7 am to 7 pm, Mon. thru Sat. time frame. Full or part time is ok, but consistent and dependable. You will be solo in the shop a lot of the time.
$45- / hr for the right person with all the right tools and the right skills. No smoking shop, no drugs, no drunks. Idealy I am looking for a maried family person, kids, honest, looking for dependable long time position. Low stress, we don't do drama.
