Rollins Barbershop is looking for a licensed barber or cosmetologist.
No need to bring any clients with you. In our experience, our new barbers who work hard very quickly have a full schedule.
We understand it can be daunting to come to a new area without clientele. For that reason, if you are leaving another shop/salon, we are open to a guaranteed weekly pay amount based on what you are making now as a safety net (should you make more, of course that amount is yours).
Along these lines, if you are not from the area and are considering relocating, we are happy to help with moving expenses.
Highly competitive commission rates. We also charge top-dollar in the area for our cuts (and will continue to do so). So if your first instinct is to stick to booth rent, please consider our ability to potentially charge more than other booth rent shops (there are many aspects to pay to be considered). We will be an open book with you in terms of what you can possibly make. We had someone recently leave Floyd's to join us who is now making double. We had someone from out-of-state make $79k in their first full year with us.
As a commission shop, you will not have the pressure of a fixed booth rent hanging over your head as you build out your book. You'll also be a W2 instead of a 1099, meaning we take on a portion of the taxes you would normally pay as a 1099 independent contractor. Unlike other commission shops, while we only have a certain number of shifts available, you can pick-and-choose, working as much or as little as you please. Unlike booth rent, when you decide to take some time off, you are not paying rent. Also, if you ever want to get a mortgage, most lenders prefer W2 income (we've been there).
Professional and hardworking attitude is a must, as well as a willingness to learn.
