A lab test technician with at least five years of technician experience is sought.
This is an hourly position as an employee. The hours vary from very part time to almost full-time depending on testing requested by one client. (For example, you may be rather busy for 2-3 months and then not very busy for a month or two.) You will work in a lab in south Boulder; you must be physically present at the lab to do the work. You will work largely independently (once trained) to test medical device probes embedded in ultrasound gel. (No handling of blood or tissues is required.) You will be supported by a small engineering consulting group.
Required:
Ability and willingness to reliably follow written procedures and to document test results precisely
Ability to think critically about test results
Experience using Microsoft Excel for data manipulation and graphing
Good set of hands to handle delicate things in a lab setting without breaking them or making messes
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
Bachelor’s degree
Desirable:
Experience with electronic test equipment including multi-meters
Good work organization skills
Bachelor’s degree in science or other technical area
