POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our Human Resources team as a Talent Acquisition Coordinator and HR Assistant at BHP. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting HR functions and handling talent acquisition efforts.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Talent Acquisition:

Handles the recruitment process, including job postings, seeking out quality candidates, resume screening, and scheduling interviews.

Coordinates with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and requirements.

Participates in job fairs and other recruitment events to attract qualified candidates.

Conducts initial candidate screenings, assists, and prepares the interview process.

Identifies creative recruiting tactics, always re-innovating strategies.

Keeps the HRIS system updated with positions filled vs. open positions.

Keeps up to date on best hiring practices, hiring platforms, etc.

Oversees and maintains the applicant tracking system (ATS) and on-boarding system.

Provides analytical reports to the rest of the team.

Promotes BHP’s reputation as the best place to work.

Onboarding:

Facilitates the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization.

Coordinates orientation sessions and provides necessary materials and supplies for new employees.

Assists in the completion of new hire paperwork and documentation.

Updates pingboard (electronic organizational chart) with all new hire information and any personnel changes.

Verifies all new hires on PERA Stars prior to the first day.

Keeps new employee orientation books on hand and updated.

Helps with BHP’s organizational overview presentation.

Keeps job descriptions updated and helps write job descriptions for new positions.

Sets up PERA reminders and sends out PERA webinar info.

HR Administration:

Maintains and updates employee records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.

Responds to employee inquiries and provides support on HR-related matters.

Prepares and distributes HR-related communications.

Prepares appreciation bonus forms as needed.

Verifies ACA reporting in paylocity and makes changes as necessary to ensure proper generation of 1095C’s.

Completes verifications of employment forms.

Benefits:

Enters COBRA notifications for new hires and terminated employees. Tracks COBRA and verifies enrollment with vendors.

Contacts benefit vendors for invoice fixes and communicates with Payroll Specialist for any adjustments that need to be made in payroll.

Other:

Performs related duties as required by management to meet the needs of BHP.

Maintains a high level of professionalism and integrity; provides excellent customer services to internal and external customers; listen to questions and concerns, evaluate issues and possible solutions, works collaboratively with the Boulder Housing Partners team to address systemic problems; inspires confidence and respect; uses feedback from others to grow and develop.

Takes proper safety precautions, anticipates unsafe circumstances, and act accordingly to prevent accidents. Responsible for the safety of self, others, materials, and equipment. Uses all required safety equipment and follows all safety regulations, policies, and procedures. Reports all accidents and damage to BHP property.

Actively supports and upholds the BHP’s stated mission and values. Optimizes the use of resources; responsible for knowing and complying with all BHP policies; participates in professional trainings and development; and adheres to attendance and workplace attire policies.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Associate degree and 1-2 years of experience working in HR or recruiting or 3-4 years of experience working in a similar role.

Knowledge of HR practices, regulations, and employment laws.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. Ability to perform general mathematical calculations using Excel, operate office equipment, and maintain accurate filing systems. Acceptable background information, including criminal history and credit check.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bilingual a plus (Spanish & English).

Previous experience working as an in-house or staffing agency recruiter preferred.

Able to maintain confidentiality over employment records and all other employment related items.

HIRING RANGE:$50,000-$55,000/year or $24.03- $26.44/hourDOQ
