Job Overview:
The American Legion Post 32 is a non-profit Veterans organization that is seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and reliable Administrative Bookkeeper to join our team. In this role, you will manage daily financial transactions, deliveries, payroll, ordering, and inventory management, while providing general administrative support to ensure smooth operations in the office.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate records of invoices and transactions and ensure all accounts are up to date.
Reconcile daily transactions with Toast POS system.
Assist with payroll processing, ensuring employee hours, wages, and deductions are accurately recorded.
Handle administrative duties such as filing, data entry, scheduling, and other general office tasks.
Provide support to senior management with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
Respond to inquiries from vendors, clients, and staff regarding billing and financial concerns.
Collaborate with accountant to maintain accurate financial records.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, preferably with administrative experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. Experience with Toast POS software and Canva is a plus.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
