Context for this Position
Better Housing Colorado (formerly known as Boulder Housing Coalition) is Colorado’s leading cooperative housing nonprofit, spearheading the creation of permanently affordable, community-focused housing for 25 years. We operate four housing cooperatives in Boulder, home to about 60 residents, and in 2024 expanded our mission across the Front Range by opening a fifth cooperative house for 20 low-income residents in Denver. Each house has 12-20 low-income residents who have private bedrooms but share all common space, pool money for food, divide up chores, and make all decisions at weekly consensus meetings. Each house has representation on our board of directors, which meets monthly to make decisions by consensus that impact the whole organization.
About the Role
The Facilities Director will be responsible for the care and maintenance of our five permanently affordable cooperative homes.
