I have two children's picture books under contract with Austin Macauley Publishers in NY. I am dissatisfied with the inhouse illustrations they provided, so I am seeking an artist who can bring my vision into 12 illustrations per book. The pictures need to be fairly realistic with emphasis on facial expression, body language and overall emotional expression of three, 4-5 year olds. They are prosocial stories based in my years of teaching preschool and deserve good, loving artwork. There are six books total in the series so I need someone who interested in continuing to illustrate stories of the same three children for the next couple years. There is a second series I have begun so there could be 4-5 years of ongoing illustration work.
Please note the first book is set to be published this year so the first 12 pictures need to be completed rather quickly.
