Overview:
Food Lab is looking for a full time Head Chef Instructor with great teaching skills, leadership skills and management skills. We are a very busy recreational cooking school with 10-20 classes a week. Our goal is to make the guest the hero in the kitchen!
Duties:
- Teach cooking classes to kids and adults by following our menus and guidelines that have been in place for 9 years.
- Ordering and inventory for classes
-Keeping Food Lab clean, organized and maintained
-Leading the rest staff by example
Skills:
- Extensive experience in the food service or restaurant industry.
- Strong knowledge of food handling procedures, kitchen operations, cooking techniques, knife skills, and sanitation practices.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively educate and engage adult learners.
- Passion for teaching
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles.
This position is Wednesday- Sunday, some days some evenings.
