Job Summary

Amazing opportunity in Boulder CO. We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team. This is a great opportunity to learn and grow as an aspiring Chef or enjoy a laidback morning schedule for those with more experience. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the kitchen, preparing a delicious and healthy breakfast for our live in residents, assisting the Head Chef with regular kitchen operations, and ensuring high-quality food preparation. This position requires a strong understanding of culinary techniques and time management to deliver exceptional dining experiences for the ladies of Kappa Kappa Gamma.

This job comes with a very generous time off package which includes all university holidays, including Thanksgiving break, winter break, and spring break, nearly two full months of PTO! Retention bonuses are issued at the end of every school year. Additionally, our employees enjoy three months of summer vacation, perfect for someone looking to travel, enjoy the great outdoors, or motivated individuals who would like to pick up extra work through catering or side gigs.

Duties

-Prepare an upscale buffet style breakfast, daily, for our live in residents.

-Oversee kitchen staff, ensuring cleaning protocols are being followed. We have a full staff of dish washers and helping hands so that you can focus on the food!

-Assist the Head Chef with ordering and inventory control.

-Collaborate with the Head Chef on menu planning.

-Assist the Head Chef with the preparation of lunch service and maintain a fully stocked gourmet salad bar for our lunch and dinner services.

-Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area.

-Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the kitchen.

Skills

-Strong knife skills, preferably with a background in prep and banquet work

-strong time management skills. You will be operating alone for the breakfast service and will need to manage your time efficiently.

-Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.

-Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards.

-Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
