Summary:
As a Dishwasher /Prep Cook and Cashier at the Gaia Cafe, you'll ensure the back and front of house is fully stocked with clean utensils to create a seamless dining experience and assist the kitchen chefs in daily food preparations. You will join a team that supports and builds genuine relationships with each other through respect, encouragement, and teamwork.
Responsibilities:
● Maintaining stock areas in a neat and orderly fashion on a daily basis
● Operating the dish-washing machine
● Cleaning and washing food-service carts, dishes, utensils, trays, pots, pans, etc.
● Using proper sanitation in all food and service areas
● Maintaining cleanliness in all work areas, equipment, and appliances
● Keeping all kitchen work areas, dining rooms and break rooms clear of dirty dishes
● Sweeping and mopping floors and work areas
● Clean service areas
● Assist chefs by washing and chopping food items
● Setting up and breaking down salad bar and hot food stations
● Assisting barista during high volume customer times
● Provide cashier service as needed
● Involves repetitive motion
Qualifications:
● One year of food service or customer service experience preferred, but not required
● Dependable
● Ability to communicate effectively in English, oral and written
● Friendly and a team player!
● Own the dish washing station
● Occasionally requires the ability to work in the kitchen area and possible interaction with hot food items, heated equipment, steam, loud noises and other at-risk conditions
● Ability to organize tasks, work independently and be reliable
● Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently
● Adhere to weekly/monthly cleaning schedules as posted by manager
● Strong familiarity with an affinity for our content is a prerequisite to applying
● Must be able to work in our office in Louisville, Colorado
● US citizenship or an existing work visa is required
Hours: Monday - Friday 7:00 am to 3:00 pm
