Description We are in search of a Sr. Staff Accountant with a focus on Project Accounts Payable (AP) to join our team in the Hi Tech Engineering industry, located in Boulder, Colorado. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity and centers around assisting with our accounting needs during a period of personnel absence, with the potential for additional accounting related tasks beyond this period. This role encompasses a broad range of accounting duties, from general ledger tasks to Accounts Payable (AP) work, including involvement with an Accounts Payable project implementing a new software tool.Responsibilities: Fill in for the existing accountant during their leave, managing their usual duties Handle general ledger tasks, including bank reconciliations and month-end close procedures Prepare and record journal entries as required Assist with basic Accounts Payable (AP) work to help the team get caught up Participate in an Accounts Payable project implementing a new software tool Ensure timely processing of invoices and manage vendor communication Utilize SAP for various accounting tasks Work collaboratively with the accounting team to ensure efficient operation of the departmentRequirements Minimum of three years experience in a Staff Accountant role, preferably within the Hi Tech Engineering industry Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations Demonstrated knowledge of General Ledger management Ability to prepare and analyze Journal Entries Experience in performing Month End Close tasks Prior experience with SAP software is highly advantageous Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Must be legally authorized to work in the specified country.
