Research Associate or Senior Research AssociateRequisition Number: 56241Location: Boulder ColoradoEmployment Type: Research FacultySchedule: Full TimePosting Close Date: 01-May-2024Date Posted:Job SummaryAs a Senior Research Associate, in the Integrative Physiology of Aging Laboratory at the University of Colorado Boulder, you will be directing an NIH-funded lifestyle intervention study in human subjects assessing the ability of the intervention to lower blood pressure and improve vascular function in mid-life and older adults and serving as a member of the laboratory leadership committee.You will work closely with the laboratory director, laboratory manager, postdoctoral associates, professional research associates, graduate and undergraduate students. Data collection, management and analysis of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular functional outcomes

Maintaining study regulatory approvals

Maintaining study documents

Decision-making regarding participant inclusion/enrollment and management of adverse events and protocol deviations (with guidance from study physician)

Working with laboratory staff to complete monthly and annual regulatory reporting requirements

Oversee students, employees and volunteers conducting study visits

Oversee collection, storage and analysis of study biological samples

Provide data interpretation and visualization for manuscripts and grants

Provide mentorship for students and post-doctoral fellows

Serve as a member of laboratory leadership committee, providing input for decisions related to laboratory management/direction

Assist in writing sections of grant applications

Write manuscripts

PhD in physiology, kinesiology, applied physiology or related field and; (a) a minimum of three years experience as a Postdoc and three years experience as a Research Associate or equivalent, or a minimum of six years experience combined.

Experience overseeing physiological studies in human subjects.

Mentorship experience.

Sound knowledge of human cardiovascular physiology.

Laboratory management experience.
