Patrol and monitor activities on the premises regularly to discourage trespassers and criminals and ensure the environment is safe and secure.
Inform building administrators, building proctors and campus police/authorities of trespassers and/or violators within the Athletic Department buildings.
Monitor the entrance and departure of employees and visitors and establish best practices and protocols for said movements.
Provide detailed reports any security incidents that may occur to Athletic Department Administration and, if applicable, CU Boulder Police.
Use department owned communication devices such as two-way radios and cell phones in a clear and concise manner.
Monitor building security features.
Assist with escorting visitors within the Athletic Department secured footprint.
Administrative Duties:
Be certified in CPR, AED and first aid trained.
Attend Event Operations meetings.
Work with Athletic Administration to provide suggestions to enhance gaps in security protocols, procedures and/or building features.
Meet with CU Boulder Police periodically throughout the year to go over campus policies, procedures and best practices.
Participate in required Athletic Department trainings, seminars and meetings.
Respond to emails and voicemails in a timely manner.
Other duties as assigned.
Travel:
Assist with providing security for the Football program on away travel.
Assist with travel itineraries and communications plan for Athletic Department Administration and local Law Enforcement as needed related to staff travel plans and special guest visits.
Assist with implementing the security plan for off campus team events.
Practice Procedures and Security:
Assist with practice security protocols and access measures.
Assist with practice procedures communication and expectations prior to each season (spring/fall) with applicable Athletic Department Departments (Communications, Equipment, Facilities and Grounds, Athletic Training, Buff Club, Alumni C Club, Buffalo Sports Properties, etc.).
Assist with proactive communication for any changes to procedures or protocols to the appropriate support groups.
What We Can Offer
Starting salary is $41,000.
