ISO Tutor
Incoming CU Boulder sophomore ecology and evolutionary biology (EBIO) major who struggles with executive function and time management seeking a graduate student in same or similar discipline to help improve these skills and occasionally help with course material.
This role is more holistic than traditional coursework tutoring. The student is looking for a mentor who can help them succeed in their EBIO department. We are looking for someone who can assist in creating a work/studying schedule, help with calendar, accountability, and time management tips. The student has ADHD, and has accommodations for time and half and notes (needs help figuring out how to access them).
Applicants for the role should be proficient in time management, but have an understanding of the mental health blockades that impact executive function. Applicants should have experience in EBIO or a related discipline.
The role is paid by the hour, weekly. The rate is negotiable based on applicant experience. The student wants to meet 2x a week, or as needed. Busy weeks such as first week of school, midterms, and finals may require more frequent meetings. The student is in summer school and the position is available immediately.
