Big Wheel Beverages (www.bigwheelbeverages.com) is a unique and fun snow cone maker that includes a 7 FOOT hamster wheel! We are in our 4th year of business and busier than ever!
The premise behind the company is that the kids make their own snow cones in the 7' tall human powered hamster wheel. There is no electricity, the kids must run and guide their cups through a Rube Goldberg-type machine. It is more of an experience than anything and the kids truly love it.
We need your help this season at different events in the Boulder / Denver area. These are typically 2 hour pre-paid events that are really fun to do! Your role would be to setup and help the kids run through the machine in order to make their own snow cones!
The ultimate goal is for you to be running events on your own. You will pick up the hamster wheel, drive it to the location, unload and setup the wheel, and then work the event (making snow cones) for the allotted hours. You will be ready on the fly to solve problems as they arise, keep the customers smiling, safe, and clients happy. Afterwards you must pack the equipment back up and return it safely back to Boulder where it is parked.
Requirements:
Must love kids and be patient! You are walking little kids through an interactive experience. There are a total of 12 “steps” required from beginning to the end of the snow cone making process. (each snow cone takes about a minute)
Must be physically able to setup the hamster wheel and stand for hours making snow cones. You have to be able to lift 16-20 pound bags of ice to eye level. You will be hauling around gallons of syrup, coolers, equipment, etc. It is an OUTDOOR, somewhat physically demanding job.
Must be able to drive a trailer! Requires driving, backing up, parking, unloading and reloading a small utility trailer (5’ x 8’) and then strapping setup back correctly.
Must be local to Boulder, CO area.
PAY:
$25 to $30 depending upon experience. Opportunity for much more for the right person wanting to grow with us.
Gigs are mostly weekends and you will have ample notice to schedule.
