Self Storage Facility is looking for a motivated and dependable person to fill as a part-time Assistant Manager. Must be able to work on Saturday and Sunday (9am to 3pm).
Self-storage experience is preferred but not required. Job duties include showing, renting, and vacating storage units, greeting customers, answering phones for rental inquiries, and making delinquency phone calls. Strong sales and customer service experience is required.
Includes all aspects of running an office including, but not limited to the use of a computer software program, responding to Internet inquiries in a professional manner, making decisions, reconciling cash receipts, following lien procedures (must be detailed oriented) and the printing/interpreting of reports.
In addition to office related work, responsibilities include being able to work both inside and outside doing maintenance work (i.e. cleaning of units, picking up trash and debris, mowing grass, pulling weeds, sweeping hallways and grounds, minor repair issues, touch up painting, etc.)
Our ideal candidate must have excellent customer service skills and the ability to work well with the public. Possess good time management skills and have the ability to solve problems in a courteous and timely manner. Must have knowledge of computers, sales, communicate well on the phone, and enjoy working with people. Ideal candidate should have a positive attitude and a willingness to learn. Must be able to lift 50 lbs and open storage doors.
Must be able to pass a complete background check, have a valid U.S. Driver’s License and a bank account for payroll direct deposit. Daily runs to the bank, post office, office supply store, etc. may be necessary.
