Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world.Job Summary:Raytheon Technologies (RTX) has openings for Senior Infrastructure Engineers for our Proprietary Customer’s infrastructure systems. These Infrastructure Engineers will be responsible for development, maintaining and implementing Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) solutions in a Linux based environment to optimize and modernize infrastructure operations and products. The Ideal Candidate will analyze and identify all or part of a company's existing or new computer (and/or server), peripheral, network, and telecommunications systems requirements, taking into consideration the special technology needs for the project, then work to migrate these existing systems to more modern Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Platforms utilizing Modern tools to move these systems forward in new development.We are seeking Infrastructure Engineers to work in our Aurora, CO location.Responsibilities to Anticipate:

You will leverage company and industry best practices and capabilities to assist with deployment, implementation, modernization, and support of infrastructure solutions

You will support software tool customization and automation including deployment of templates, dashboards, and scripts to support program needs

You will Design, implement, generate code through scripting tools, test, document, and maintain the system

You will assist and integrate of the selected platform provisioning tool such as VMware / Ansible or Terraform as needed

You will assist with development of build/test pipeline and integration, optimizing for performance and scalability across on-premise computing environments

You will utilize modern tools such as Ansible, Docker, Rancher, Terraform or other similar tools to move these systems forward in the technology stack

Basic Qualifications:

The ability to obtain a (TS or TS/SCI) US Government Security Clearance. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Typically requires BS/BA Degree in Science, Technology Engineering Math (STEM) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Physics and 5 + years of related work experience

Willing to work on-site in the office to support active government projects and related systems

Experience with Linux System Administration (E.g., RHEL 6.0+)

Experience with programming or scripting languages (E.g., Python, Java, Ruby, Bash, C, C#, Go)

Background in COTS/FOSS product installation, configuration, and integration

CompTIA Security + or ability to obtain within 90 days

Preferred Qualifications:

Implementing Scaled Agile Frameworks

Experience deploying, configuring, and supporting CICD Pipelines tools (E.g. Jira / Jira Service Management, Confluence, Bit Bucket, Jenkins, Artifactory)

Container development and orchestration (E.g., Kubernetes/Docker)

VM provisioning (E.g., VMWare / vSphere)

Experience with automation frameworks such as Chef and Ansible

Experience with Cloud Development such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud or similar products

Experience with code repository systems (E.g., ClearCase, Bit Bucket)

General working knowledge of networks, storage, and virtualization

Willing to travel CONUS/OCONUS as necessary for the program’s needs

Active Passport required for OCONUS travel as necessary

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products

Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed

Location: Aurora, COThe salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
