Salary Range: $72.36/hour - $93.61/hourJob Summary:Assures that pharmacists and technicians provide appropriate, cost-effective pharmaceutical care to patients of the Oncology Pharmacy. Maintains policies/procedures relating to Oncology pharmacy operations and professional practice standards. Oversees quality assurance and improvement of oncology related therapy. Sets goals and objectives for staff consistent with department and division objectives. Responsible for inventory management & cost of goods. Makes members/patients and their needs a primary focus of ones actions; develops and sustains productive member/patient relationships. Maintains knowledge of and assures departmental compliance with Kaiser Permanentes Principles of Responsibility and policies and procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.Essential Responsibilities:
This position, knows and complies with all Kaiser Permanente quality, safety, and emergency policies and procedures. Demonstrates quality and effectiveness in work habits and clinical practice in every interaction with patients, colleagues, providers, and leadership. Ensures patient safety in the preparation and provisioning of care related to but not limited to medications, procedures, infection prevention, fall prevention, including consistent use of two patient identifiers and procedural time outs. Reports safety hazards, accidents and incidents, and unsafe working conditions promptly.
Manages operations of the Oncology Pharmacy, including staff scheduling, problem solving and conflict resolution. Monitors vacation, time-off, sick leave, and wage and salary reports.
Identifies system modifications and staff education which lead to further improvements.
Compiles statistical data; oversees reports of operating costs and services rendered to manage fiscal resources, direct accounts and inventory for Oncology services.
Plans and organizes pharmacy workload and staff duties to maximize efficiency/assure timely completion of tasks. Provides work direction to personnel.
Promotes a team approach by facilitating collaboration with physicians, nursing and pharmacy staff to support patient care in the oncology clinic.
Communicates department and organizational goals. Provides feedback and follow-up.
Basic Qualifications:Experience
Minimum one (1) year of pharmacy management experience.
Education
Bachelors degree in pharmacy or PharmD.
License, Certification, Registration
Pharmacist License (Colorado) within 3 months of hire
National Provider Identifier required at hire
Additional Requirements:
Clinical skills associated with oncology.
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum two (2) years of pharmacist experience to include one (1) year of pharmacist experience in Oncology.

Responsibility to cover all regional locations along with on-call rotations.
