Attending pathologist based in the Department of Pathology Surgical Pathology Laboratory at the University of Colorado Hospital (UCH), in the subspecialty of genitourinary pathology.
Provide clinical consultation to peers in pathology, colleagues in other subspecialties at Multidisciplinary Conferences (MDC), and others in subspecialty areas of anatomic pathology.
Engage in teaching activities, including small and large group didactic conferences, one on one teaching of medical students, residents and fellows.
Engage in scholarship, as broadly defined in the matrix of the University of Colorado School of Medicine. You are not expected to acquire external funding; however, you may participate in funded research and also apply for pilot funding through Department of Pathology programs.

The successful candidate must be board certified in anatomic pathology and candidates who are fellowship trained or have at least 10 years experience in genitourinary pathology will be considered. Clinical, teaching and scholarship accomplishments sufficient for an appointment at the rank of Professor required.
Preferred Qualifications:
At least one year post-fellowship practice experience is strongly desired .

This full-time faculty position in the University of Colorado, School of Medicine, Department of Pathology, to be based at the University of Colorado Hospital in the Department of Pathology Anatomic Pathology laboratory. The recruit will serve as an attending pathologist and educate others in genitourinary (GU) pathology, including prostate, bladder, kidney, and testis pathology. Additional experience in medical renal pathology is preferred, and additional training in this area will be provided through mentored case review and sign out. The candidate will be part of a multidisciplinary team, inclusive of other GU pathologists, clinicians and surgeons. Thus, strong communication and professional skills are expected. Given the acute nature of the work, night and weekend call in rotation with other attending pathologists will be required. Candidates may also be required to cover frozen sections in rotation with other faculty pathologists. Candidates will have the opportunity to serve the community at large by providing coverage of state-wide transplant organ review as a volunteer, which will be reimbursed above and beyond faculty salaries. The academic appointment, at rank of Associate Professor or Professor, requires the candidate to have significant medical training and experience, and excel in clinical activities, teaching and scholarship. Participate as the on-call attending in anatomic pathology on-call coverage after hours, serve as the attending pathologist in subspecialty coverage call as well as transplant pathology (voluntary).
