Inspiration for Men's Residential Treatment Center Compliance Specialist - 32365 University StaffDescriptionUniversity of Colorado Anschutz Medical CampusSchool of Medicine | Department of Psychiatry | Addiction Research & Treatment Services (ARTS)Job Title: Inspiration for Men's Residential Treatment Center Compliance SpecialistPosition #00001104 – Requisition #32365Job Summary:This position will execute duties related to the quality assurance and compliance of Medicaid and Behavioral Health Administration (BHA) at Inspiration for Men's residential treatment program. This position is required to follow all standards and program policies and procedures to meet the standards for this work unit. This position is required to use analytical skills to review standards and adapt program policies and procedures to meet the standards for this work unit. This position will update policies and procedures and train staff in same. This position is also responsible for understanding Medicaid compliance rules and auditing of our new program, BHA and Medicaid clinical hours. This position will also assist the management team in analyzing and applying additional behavioral health standards as needed.Key Responsibilities

Ensure that correct documentation and practices are being performed under the supervision of the management team to ensure state compliance.

Complete internal audits on all programs related to Medicaid, BHA, and DCJ standards as applicable.

Completing necessary pre audit paperwork, assisting auditors during the audit process with electronic records, and assisting in follow up with all corrective plans if needed.

Internal auditing of standard compliance on quarterly audit cycle.

Participate in the training of new staff on standards as they relate to their specific job functions.

Tracking of security standard functions and suggest solutions to problem areas.

Pull statistical data for review by the Assistant Director and Director.

Assist management team with special projects or grant implementation as assigned.

Audit medications and report out to management.

Work Location:Onsite – this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Southwest Denver, CO. Bachelor's degree in the field of Business Administration, Social Work, Sociology, or Political Science from an accredited university.

A combination of education and related technical paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.Preferred Qualifications

Experience with documentation of services in a residential treatment setting.

Experience working with clients with substance use disorders and co-occurring issues.

Experience in a residential substance use disorder treatment facility.

Experience working with clients involved in the criminal justice system.

Conditions of Employment

Must be willing and able to monitor compliance during different shifts and assist the unit in times of need with coverage of shifts. Auditing and training may include coming in at various times to meet the training needs of other employees.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Excellent communication skills.

Attention to detail.

Strong writing skills.

Working knowledge of Department of Criminal Justices standards.

Working knowledge of Behavioral Health Administration Standards and Medicaid compliance.
