different.Job OverviewAs part of the Clinical Resource (CR) Team, the Behavioral Health
Specialist serves as a system-wide resource, providing direct patient care
and safety including supervision and management of children and adolescents;
performs duties under the direction of a registered nurse or licensed
psychiatric professional. This position may encounter potentially volatile
care situations that could result in bodily harm.
The Behavioral Health Specialist may begin their shift in one unit and based
on a change in census and acuity be reallocated to a different unit to meet
operational needs. However, it is also possible for the Behavioral Health
Specialist to experience extended periods of time in one department to offset

This position will float between locationsQualificationsEducation: Bachelor's degree with a minor in psychology or related field
Equivalency: Professional relevant experience may substitute for the

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the

Provides direct patient care and management of children and adolescents while
under the direction of a registered nurse or licensed psychiatric
professional.
Leads, monitors and collaborates educational and therapeutic groups for
patients.
Participates in clinical rounds, maintains communication with unit or
department leadership.
