The Creative Arts Therapists Behavioral Health Clinician (CAT BHC) is
responsible for direct patient care and safety including diagnostic,
assessment, treatment, and discharge planning for children,
adolescents, and their families, in the Creative Arts Therapy Outpatient
Clinic, Pediatric Mental Health institute Units, and/or Emergency
Department se
This position could feature any modality of Creative Arts or Expressive
Therapy. Requirements include CO licensure & Masters in Creative Arts
Therapy (Art, Music, Dance/ Movement, Drama Therapies) or
Expressive Arts Therapy. This position provides services to different patient
populations within our Pediatric Mental Health Institute (PMHI) at
CHCO's Anschutz Campus and potential North Campus. The CAT BHC's clinical
care includes individual therapy, multi-family therapy and group therapy
within the PMHI's units (Inpatient Psychiatric Services, Psych ED,
Eating Disorder Unit, Neuropsychiatric Special Care Unit, & Partial
Hospitalization Programs) and Creative Arts Therapy Outpatient Clinic with
scheduling as part of the larger Integrative & Creative Care team.Additional InformationDepartment: Pozio Arts Therapy
Hours: 80hrs FT
Shift: Schedule section can be: Sun-Thurs or Tues- Sat (10-6p)QualificationsEDUCATION: Master's degree in psychology, social work or related field.
EXPERIENCE: 2 years in a mental health setting/agency
CERTIFICATION(S): American Heart Association Basic Life Support for
Healthcare Provider or American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer or
ASHI Basic Life Support for Health Providers
Preferred:ATR or ATR-BC (Art Therapist Registered- Board Certification) by the AATA
Art Therapy Credentials Board; or R-DMT or BC-DMT(Registered or Board
Certified Dance Movement Therapist) by the merican Dance Therapy
Association; or RDT (Registered Drama Therapist) by the North American
Drama Therapy Association; or REAT (Registered Expressive Arts
Therapist) by the International Expressive Arts Therapy Association; or
MT-BC (Music Therapy-Board Certified) by the Certification Board for Music
Therapist; or C-IAYT (Certified Yoga Therapist) by the International
Association of Yoga Therapists preferred
LICENSURE: State of Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA)
Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
