Job Summary: Borbon Fabrications, a small seasoned body shop for vehicle repair & vintage vehicle restoration is seeking a dedicated and skilled Auto Body Technician & Auto Body Prepper to join our dedicated team. We have been in the auto body restoration industry for over 35 years. We’re open to candidates at various levels of experience. We provide annual bi-annual bonuses depending on performance. The potential candidate will be dedicated to high-quality repairs, with the ability to pay attention to detail, and a commitment to teaming with us in providing excellent customer service. This role is key in restoring vehicles to their highest level of craftmanship. We strive for customer satisfaction, and quality repairs.
Primary Responsibilities:
Complete disassembly and assessment of vehicle to assist shop managers in determining damage to prepare an accurate blue print of repairs.
Ability to effectively communicate with shop manager, and owner.
Create a repair plan based on an effective evaluation of the damage that is being repaired or restored.
Ensure all needed repairs are identified to eliminate supplements and minimize repair time, and repair costs.
Remove necessary parts, equipment, and materials to gain access to repair vehicle damages.
Properly store parts to eliminate further damage and prevent additional loss.
Repair or replace defective parts according to the estimate prepared.
Inspect and test drive repaired vehicles to check for safety and quality standard compliance.
Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations that affect the collision center’s operations, such as hazardous waste disposal and OSHA guidelines.
Perform other related duties as assigned, including cleaning the shop, assisting other teammates, and providing leadership to body tech apprentices.
Provide clear concise communication to manager and owner of shop

Qualifications:
Minimum of 2-5 years of experience as a body technician in a collision repair environment.
Proficiency in the use of industry-standard tools and equipment, including welders, frame machines, and hand tools.
Strong knowledge of repair techniques, bodywork, and alignment methods.
I-CAR or ASE certification is a plus.
Ability to read and follow repair plans, damage reports, and manufacturer specifications.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality repairs.
A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Must have own tools
Must have reliable transporation to and from work location
Will be 1099 at end of year
