Arbuckle business office seeks Full-Time Office Manager/Bookkeeper!

Do you enjoy working independently as part of an agricultural team? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you!

Our client is seeking an on-site Farm Office Manager & Bookkeeper for our 400+ acre farm in Colusa County, CA.

This role involves managing our company's financial and administrative operations.

Candidates must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently with occasional interruptions. Agricultural experience is a plus!

Responsibilities

Financial Management: Accurately record and manage all company income and expenses using QuickBooks Pro Desktop, ensuring precise tracking of crop income and job costs.

Payroll Administration: Process payroll and maintain employment records for 50+ employees, ensuring compliance with compensation classifications and labor laws. Compile and file weekly payroll, taxes, liabilities, and quarterly/annual payroll forms.

Account Reconciliation: Reconcile multiple bank and financial accounts to ensure accuracy.

Compliance & Documentation: Maintain and renew insurance policies, permits, licenses, and governmental filings.

Tax & Budgeting Support: Prepare financial records and collaborate with CPAs for tax filings and adjustments. Assist in preparing the annual budget.

Contract & Loan Management: Manage crop loans, contracts, and landlord leases.

Administrative Duties: Handle data entry and office management tasks and maintain all company records.

Qualifications

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

5+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience preferred.

Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop and Microsoft Office Suite.

A strong understanding of GAAP principles is a plus.

Ability to prioritize tasks and multitask in a dynamic work environment.

Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.

Must pass a background check.

Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
