Description If you have an interest in utilizing your communication skills while growing your career, this role may be for you. As a HR and Payroll Clerk for one of our clients, you would become an integral part of the Payroll department. Based in the Woodland Hills, California area, this position would be needed on a permanent basis. To succeed in this role, you must be adept at data entry, timecard reconciliation, paycheck distribution, and producing statements for various departments. Working with the internal team and outside customers requires solid communication skills.Key responsibilities
Complete other duties as assigned
Ensure reports are distributed as instructed
Train and instruct employees in the proper use of payroll-related systems including entry of timesheets, online access of pay statements, etc.
Ensure efficient operation of the department by performing clerical duties such as filing, scanning, faxing, photocopying, etc.
Generate and run custom reports
Organize data into spreadsheets and the payroll system
Obtain timesheet approvals by contacting employees via email and phone
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree Required
Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills
Accurate, swift, data entry abilities
Possess strong organizational and follow-up skills
Be detailed, flexible, and organized
Prior knowledge in Payroll software
Deep understanding of benefits payroll
Human Resources (HR) Administration experience desired
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) experience
Command of 401k - RRSP Administration
Eagerness to master new systems
2+ years of previous payroll experience
