Bookkeeper

Description We are offering a contract-to-permanent employment opportunity for a meticulous Credit Clerk in Woodland, California. This role primarily involves processing customer credit applications, maintaining accurate customer credit records, and resolving customer credit inquiries within the Bookkeeper function. You will also oversee customer credit accounts and take necessary actions to collect overdue payments. Responsibilities: Accurately process customer credit applications in a timely manner Maintain and update customer credit records consistently Resolve customer credit inquiries promptly and professionally Monitor customer credit accounts regularly to ensure accuracy Take appropriate actions to collect delinquent payments when necessary Use QuickBooks for payroll processing and Syspro for general ledger and accounting Handle both accounts payable and accounts receivable duties Manage general ledger activities and ensure their accuracy Prepare month-end and quarter-end financial reports Receive training, as required, to perform duties effectively. Requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Bookkeeping role Proficiency in QuickBooks is mandatory Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is preferred Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously Excellent organizational and communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel Demonstrated ability to work both independently and within a team Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
