Our industry-leading financial services client is looking for a Senior Database Developer to design, develop, test, and implement enterprise-level data warehouse systems and solutions.
Responsibilities of the Senior Database Developer: - Design, develop, and maintain relational and dimensional databases supporting the data warehouse and data marts
- Leverage advanced transact-SQL, including stored procedures, ETL and OLAP tools to implement solutions
- Monitor and tune queries and data loads; monitor performance and communicate functional and technical issues
- Participate in requirements derivation; perform code inspections and refactor code to meet standards
- Participate in data model reviews, walkthroughs, application and module performance analysis
Requirements of the Senior Database Developer: - At least 2 years of experience with Perl, Python, and PowerShell or C# and Java
- Experience developing OLAP cubes and data visualization technologies
- Ability to perform routine DBA tasks including data migrations and performance optimization
- Programming experience including designing complex SQL queries and business components
- Highly proficient in Excel and Word
- Financial services preferred
