Searching for a Technical Support Specialist to work directly with clients to configure and troubleshoot point of sale (POS) terminals and integrated point of interaction (POI) solutions, e-commerce gateways, mobile payments, and P2PE security and compliance solutions.
This resource needs to be a technically savvy, customer-focused individual who possesses technical skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
This role serves to build rapport and confidence with our customers by addressing inquiries with knowledge, skill, and empathy.
Job Scope:Tickets / incoming calls:
Merchants and client base
Data entry for recording notes from calls into the CRM Records
Inputting information for data completion
Hardware:
Deployments
Programming devices
Create the shipping labels, packing up boxes
Troubleshoot POS systems
Build gateway profiles/ device profiles
Various systems experiences: Credit card terminals | Gateways - authorized .Net , NMI (network merchants inc) USA epay, except .blue, fluid pay | Point of sale solution support | Terminals: dejavu
Responsibilities:
Client support for merchant-related inquiries.
Identify and resolve point-of-sale system issues.
Conduct client training and awareness to ensure the client knows how to operate their point-of-sale system and ensure they understand all aspects of their merchant relationship with the processor.
Possesses comprehensive knowledge of all applicable point-of-sale hardware and software solutions, third-party Value-Added Reseller (VAR)/Independent Software Vendor (ISV) applications, payment gateway solutions, connectivity options and all other payment-related applications.
Build terminal profiles and assist merchants with necessary software downloads while also providing necessary client training.
Requirements
Merchant Services, POS software, POS systems, connectivity
1+ year of customer technical support experience in POS (3 preferred). College Degree in technical field (preferred)
Technical support skills, POS payment gateway/POS standalone terminal experience (highly desirable)
OK working in a call center environment (fast-paced, high-volume, on-call, some overtime)
Point-of-sale (POS) payment gateway and standalone terminal experience is highly desirable.
