Discover more about the Hourglass brand story and mission on our website hourglasscosmetics.comThe Director of Visual Merchandising & Store Design Operations will own and lead the operations division of the Global Visual Merchandising & Store Design (VM/SD) department. This position will be responsible for global processes, timelines, budgets, seasonal planning, development and execution of projects across retail channels. Will report to and work directly with the Vice President of VM/SD and work in tandem with internal cross-functional teams, regional partners and external vendors to ensure our in-store product launches, new door openings and merchandising initiatives are executed on time and on budget with best-in-class results. As the brand continues to grow in scale and complexity, this role will develop and drive process improvement for how we work together globally. Will have 3 direct reports and oversee the end-to-end process of global seasonal visual merchandising updates, new store openings and secondary merchandising exposures. This is an exciting opportunity to be a leader within our global team as we exponentially expand and establish the brand around the world.WHAT YOU DO:Own and lead all operational aspects of global projects across retail channels.Work closely with global cross-functional departments and regional partners to strategically plan and synchronize seasonal launch timelines and deliverables to meet merchandising needs.Lead end-to-end process of global seasonal visual merchandising updates. Oversee team and work with cross-functional partners and vendors to ensure seasonal product launches are strategically planned, developed and executed on time and on budget, including:Responsible for internal cross-functional planning and alignment on global planogram updates for each retailer.Oversee team to project manage and ensure timelines and vendor delivery dates are clearly communicated across functions. Proactively plan and manage approval dates and potential project timeline risk.Ensure design intent for display updates is clearly communicated to vendors and global team members on time.Lead vendor development and execution process to ensure brand standards are met with best-in-class results.Oversee shipping, delivery and installation dates with retailers, vendors, regional brand partners and field teams.Lead the team to globally manage projects across retail channels. Ensure team is effectively tracking project timelines, deliverables, approvals and budgets. Lead weekly meetings to review project status and any potential timeline risk.Meet with commercial teams to understand project forecasts and pro-actively plan workload and timelines. Work closely with VP VM/SD to strategically plan resources and establish and communicate priorities.Work with Finance partners and VP VM/SD to strategically plan global departmental budget. Will own and oversee budget documents and systems to track spend. Ensure projects meet planned budgets and be responsible for pro-actively communicating potential risk. Work with vendors and designers to value engineer when needed. Provide regular updates and issue monthly YTD reports to CFO.Oversee routing and approval process for vendor cost estimates, PO’s and invoices.Oversee after-market care and repair and maintenance processes to maintain brand standards. Lead team to drive process improvement for repair and maintenance management.Work with VP VM/SD to improve project management systems between global office and regional partners.Ensure timely delivery of visual merchandising guidelines and final production art for new door openings and global seasonal launches.YOU’LL LOVE THIS JOB IF:You are AGILE: You are FLEXIBLE and ADAPTABLE to changing needs and priorities. Must understand how to read and update multiple planograms across retail channels.Proven experience establishing and maintaining a global budget.Must be proficient in Microsoft, Sketchup, Photoshop, Powerpoint, Excel and Smartsheet.Proven success creating and leading processes. Must be highly organized and have strong attention to detail. Adaptable, resourceful and forward thinking.Thrive on solving problems and looking at implementing creative solutions. Creative, positive and high-energy individual with an ability to execute.Strong Verbal and Written communication abilities.Prestige/luxury brand experience a plus.The expected base salary range for this position is $130,000 to $140,000.
