Description Robert Half Management Resources is recruiting for an Accounting Manager (individual contributor) to support our global non-profit client on a 3-6 month engagement (100% remote). This person will play a critical role in keeping the accounting close on track as the Senior Accountant is leaving the organization shortly. The Accounting Manager will report directly to the Director of Finance and will primarily be supporting the month-end close. The right person for this role will have a strong understanding of GAAP accounting and enjoy working hands-on as an individual contributor.Responsibilities:
Month-end close (11 business days - slower now because of new ERP system)
Prepare journal entries (20 a month)
Reconcile cash and other accounts
Update lease amortization schedule - already built and 842 compliant
Review U.S. and Canada's activity to ensure compliance with GAAP (AP, Donations, Credit Cards)
Assist in audit requests (May) and help prepare for the 990
Requirements
7+ years of accounting experience and a strong understanding of GAAP
Non-profit accounting experience (plus, not required)
Working experience with Sage Intacct is a MUST - implemented in January 2024
Proficient in Excel (Pivots, X & V Lookups)
Available to work EST schedule
