They will be responsible for conducting regular site surveys and waste audits throughout Western San Fernando Valley. The ideal candidate will have prior customer service experience, be adaptable to change, willing to work out in the field each day, knows how to prioritize, has strong computer skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically MS Excel.Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8AM to 4:30pmWork Environment: Half of the day will be spent conducting regular site surveys out in the field, and half the day will be performing data entry duties from West Hills office or offsite work location. Due to the amount of travel required, this role is eligible to participate in WM’s vehicle reimbursement program.Job Overview

This entry level position spends most of their time on the road conducting regular site surveys and waste audits to ensure trash, organics, manure, and recycling service levels comply with franchise contract requirements. It will ensure type, size, and location of bins as well as collection frequency meets franchise contract and WM requirements.

This role may speak directly with customers to explain waste diversion, waste management and recycling services as well as the fee rate structure of the franchise contract and may escalate issues raised during site visits.

With supervision this position may add, change, and arrange new services to meet customer requirements, conduct on-site customer training programs, and perform other duties needed to meet franchise contract requirements.

The work does not require discretion or independent judgement with respect to matters of significance.

This position reports to the Franchise Account Supervisor, Area Public Sector Sales Manager, Municipal Marketing Manager, or their designee.

II. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.Conduct regular site surveys and waste audits to ensure trash, organics, manure and recycling service levels comply with franchise contract requirements.Educate customer on the benefits of the recycling program and what goes in recycling bins.Educate customers and their employees on the importance of recycling, food rescue and resource recovery as well as all City, State, and Federal mandates, and works with customers to implement services, increase recycling and reduce contamination.Ensure type, size and location of bins as well as collection frequency meets franchise contract (if applicable) and WM requirements.Other duties as assigned.III. Education and ExperienceEducation: Minimum High School Diploma or GED (accredited).Experience: Minimum six (6) months relevant work experience resulting in successfully obtaining customer appointments.B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other RequirementsCurrent active state-issued driver's license.C. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities RequiredStrong organizational, customer service, writing and communication skills.V.
