Description We are in search of a Financial Analyst to join our team in the manufacturing industry based in Watsonville, California. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity. The Financial Analyst will be a key player in supporting our Global R& D managers on all finance-related activities, providing business insights to stakeholders and ensuring compliance with policies, controls, and standard operating procedures.Responsibilities: Facilitate global planning processes for the cost centers in assigned regions such as Quarterly Forecast, Mid-year forecast, and Annual Operating Projection (AOP) process. Provide support during month-end and year-end closes, guaranteeing operating costs are captured correctly and completely. Assist operational managers in preparing capital project requests; updating capital systems and conducting analysis and reporting on capital spending. Undertake ad-hoc projects to provide insightful business analysis to stakeholders. Maintain compliance with policies, controls, and standard operating procedures in alignment with Global Controllership and Global Finance direction. Work closely with operational managers from R& D departments, Finance, Accounting, and other Business Units where Global R& D operates and/or interacts. Represent the business in a professional manner in interactions with various stakeholders. Occasionally travel domestically and internationally. Utilize Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, CRM, Crystal Reports, and Data Mining Techniques to perform duties. Handle Accounting Functions, Accrual Accounting, Auditing, Budget Processes, and Capital Management. Requirements Must be fluent in Spanish and English. This person with be communicating daily with part of the company based in South America.Minimum of three years of experience working as a Financial Analyst or in a similar role in the Manufacturing industry. Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems and ADP - Financial Services. Experience with CRM, Crystal Reports, and Data Mining Techniques. Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions, Accrual Accounting, Auditing, Budget Processes, and Capital Management. Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make informed decisions. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field. Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet stringent deadlines.
