Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior Tax Analyst at a growing private equity owned manufacturing company. Our workplace is located in Walnut Creek, California, United States.Responsibilities
Compliance Coordination: Manage federal and state tax compliance, provide data to external tax preparers, and review returns.
Tax Payments: Review, process, and track extension and quarterly tax payments, ensuring accurate reconciliations.
Informational Returns: Prepare and file forms like 1042-S, W-8BEN, and FinCen 114.
Tax Provisions: Prepare and review federal and state tax provisions and related analyses.
Journal Entries & Reporting: Prepare monthly tax provision journal entries and management reports.
Reconciliations: Conduct monthly balance sheet and tax expense account reconciliations.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop tax expense budgets and cash flow projections for tax payments.
Fixed Assets Management: Maintain tax fixed asset registers and ensure accurate cost/depreciation tracking.
Audit Support: Assist with internal/external audits, preparing workpapers and responses.
Tax Research & Notices: Address tax notices and research business tax issues.
Special Projects: Handle other tax-related projects as needed.
Requirements
Education & Experience: Bachelor’s in Business/Accounting with 5+ years of tax provision experience; CPA or advanced tax degree preferred.
Technical Skills: Advanced Excel proficiency.
Analytical & Problem-Solving: Strong analytical abilities, problem-solving skills, and record-keeping expertise.
Communication & Teamwork: Excellent written/verbal communication and ability to collaborate effectively.
Organizational Skills: Strong ability to manage tasks efficiently and stay organized.
Time Management: Capable of handling multiple time-sensitive tasks and meeting deadlines independently.
Adaptability & Motivation: Energetic, eager to learn new tax and business areas in a fast-paced environment.
