Tax Preparer

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Tax Preparer in Walnut Creek, California. As a Tax Preparer, you will be engaged in a variety of tasks related to tax preparation for a range of clients. This role is situated within a friendly, small office environment, where the main emphasis is on providing accurate and efficient service to our clients.Responsibilities: Prepare tax returns for individuals and High Net Worth clients Utilize CCH ProSystem Fx and CCH Sales Tax for tax preparation Carry out data entry tasks related to client financials Compute federal taxes and ensure accurate deductions Handle tax-related queries and provide excellent customer service Leverage Microsoft Excel for tracking and reporting purposes Ensure understanding and compliance with current tax laws and regulations Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax return procedures for C-Corps and other entities Work closely with the team to meet deadlines and deliver quality service to clients. Requirements Proficiency in CCH ProSystem Fx is necessary for this role Familiarity with CCH Sales Tax is required Demonstrable skills in data entry are essential A strong understanding of deductible concepts is mandatory Must have a thorough knowledge of federal taxes Experience in preparing individual tax returns is vital Ability to handle tax matters for high net worth individuals is crucial Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a key requirement for this role Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
