VP/Director of Finance (Construction/Real Estate)

Description We are in search of a highly skilled VP/Director of Finance to join our team in the Real Estate Development industry located in Walnut, California. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, providing analytical insights on business practices, and leading strategic planning efforts. This role is vital in managing financial systems and ensuring consistency across the company.Responsibilities: Proactively solve business needs and identify new opportunities. Analyze market trends and their financial impact on the company. Lead the improvement of forecasting tools and financial models. Develop strategic and annual business plans to guide the company's financial decisions. Provide analytical insights on pricing, margins, and cash flow to inform strategic decisions. Manage asset monetization and budget coordination. Ensure consistency across financial systems to maintain accurate financial records. Oversee staff evaluations and compensation planning to ensure fair and equitable treatment. Evaluate financial projections and bonus plans to ensure alignment with company goals. Leverage skills in financial modeling, analysis, and construction accounting to inform decision making. Requirements Must possess a minimum of 15 years of experience in the finance sector, preferably within the real estate industry. Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing 3M, ADP - Financial Services, CapEx, CRM, and accounting software systems. Comprehensive knowledge of accounting functions, including auditing, budget processes, capital management, and cash flow analysis. Extensive understanding of construction accounting, construction cost, and the construction industry is essential. Proven ability to lead, manage, and motivate teams. Exceptional communication and presentation skills. Strong strategic planning and execution abilities. Proficiency in financial reporting and regulatory frameworks. Advanced degree in finance, business, or a related field. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification would be advantageous. Proven track record of implementing financial strategies and overseeing financial operations in a real estate development setting. Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data. Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound financial decisions. High degree of professionalism and ethical standards. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to establish relationships with key stakeholders.
