Mornings e.g. 6am-9am OR 6am-2pm
Evening Shifts e.g. 2pm-7pm OR 2pm-10pm
NOC Shifts e.g. 10pm-6am
Job Title: Direct Support Professional (DSP)
Job Summary
Assist seniors with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their daily lives. Assist with complete care of dietary, hygiene, grooming, dressing needs and medication management.
Essential Functions:
Outline and prepare daily routine(s) for clients' (visual and active) as written in their Individual Program Plan (IPP)
Assist clients with bathroom needs
Change clients' undergarments and/or clothing if needed
Prepare daily meals and assist with clean-up
Teach Skills
Positive Behavior Support
Plan Activities; Community Integration
Assistance w/ Medication Administration
Pick-up/drop-off residents in company vans to/from their facility (if necessary)
Observation and Documentation
Work closely with RN, Behavior and Nutrition Consultants
Meet with Placement Agency Personnel and State Licensing Agents
Pre-Employment Requirements:
The Candidate must successfully pass all pre-employment requirements, including but not limited to a background check, physical, and TB Clearance (paid for by employer)
Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED
pass fingerprint/background check with DOJ and FBI
pass a physical exam - must be physically able to transfer and lift residents up to 150 lbs (two person lifts/assist)
clear a TB test
Additional Requirements:
must have a valid CA drivers license, and a clean driving record with at least 3 years experience of licensed driving
reliable transportation to and from work.
must Display Excellent Communication Skills and Professionalism.
must be able to speak and write in English. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
Covid19 Vaccination recommended
