Job DescriptionKeeps warehouse, refrigerated and grocery areas, offices, conference rooms, break room and restrooms in clean, orderly and sanitary condition.Responsibilities
Clean warehouse with hand brooms, power scrubbers and sweepers to meet company standards.
Keep track of cleaning supplies and replenish as needed. Notify TM responsible for purchasing supplies of any impending shortages before supplies are exhausted.
Remove and properly dispose of all refuse, recycling, cardboard, and broken pallets.
Clean offices (including dusting), break room (including microwaves, refrigerators, and tables) conference room, restrooms and floors (including sweeping and mopping) and replenish paper goods and supplies as needed.
Pre-shift warm up, meetings and pre shift equipment checks
Change batteries in power-operated equipment, including compactor/baler, pallet jacks, power washer, floor buffer and scrubbers and safety equipment.
Report all life safety and fire hazards, along with any other violations of company policy to Team Leader for correction, and report all accidents and injuries to Team Leader or Facility Leadership immediately.
Properly and accurately record time using time clock at the beginning and end of each shift and for unpaid meal breaks during shift.
Utilize cleaning checklists and adhere to Safety and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures.
Responsible for proper dress code. Steel-toe or composite-toe shoes must be worn.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Team Leader, Associate Team Leader, or Supervisor.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Ability to deliver information in a clear and concise manner to fellow team members and customers
Ability to comply with all WFM policies and procedures
Ability to complete all tasks in a thorough and timely manner
Working understanding of and compliance with all WFM quality goals, and thorough product knowledge
Demonstrates responsibility and accountability in recognizing and accomplishing all tasks where there is a direct job responsibility.
High attention to detail and thoroughness in approach with all paperwork
Ability to use knives, personal protective equipment, forklift, pallet jacks, hand trucks, six wheel carts, baler and all other equipment used during preparation and clean up within department and store
Able to work a flexible schedule based on the needs of the store, including nights, weekends and holidays as required
Desired Work Experiences
Experience in a warehouse distribution center (1 year)
Must be 18 years of age or older
