Ventura County Adult Day Health Care is a community-based program providing a variety of medical, therapeutic, rehabilitative and recreational programs and services for adults 18+. We provide a safe and secure environment for adults to spend time under the cared supervision of experienced staff.
Our mission is to help prevent premature institutionalization by offering stimulating and enjoyable group experiences for participants to maintain their independence and also to provide respite for family members and caregivers.
CBAS ADHC Driver Essential Responsibilities:
1. Ensure the vehicle is clean and in proper working condition and completion of the routine maintenance of the vehicles.
2. Determines and follows safe and efficient driving routes
3. Assists in ensuring participant/staff ratio are maintained on the bus
4. Maintains all transportation records required by the program
5. Evacuates passengers according to written and practiced procedures.
6. Assures that medical emergency procedure is followed in case of emergency or accident, completes a written accident report as required
7. Attends and participates in center in-services training and education programs
8. Operates the vehicle in such a way that road and safety regulations are always followed, reports any traffic violations to the supervisor.
9. Perform all duties as assigned by the transportation coordinator and center Program Director.
Requirements:
Applicants must be 21+ and have 3 years of driving experience to qualify for coverage of insurance policy covering company vehicle usage.
Applicants must maintain a valid driver's license and a drivers record from the California DMV that allows the applicant to be insured through the company insurance policy.
Applicants must be available from 630am-4pm, Monday through Friday.
