Billing Specialist Duties and Responsibilities:
Creating invoices and billing materials to be sent directly to a customer
Maintain 15-day billing cycle
Dispute customer credits
Speak with supervisors or customers to resolve problems
Data entry
Ensure file organization based on office protocol
Provide additional support around office as needed
Billing specialist Skills and Qualifications:
Excellent clerical and organizational skills to keep track of all customers bills and Purchase Orders (PO’s) / Bill of
Ladings (BOL’s)
Knowledge of QuickBooks is preferred
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with others under any type of condition
Excellent knowledge of MS Office (particularly Excel)
High degree of attention to detail and trustworthiness
Ability to learn quickly
Ability to provide high quality customer service
Ability to type 30 WPM
Knowledge of 10-key
Ability to sit in front of a desk and/or in front of the computer for long periods
Repetitive use of hand, writing, and typing
Excellent follow-through and time-management skills
Billing Specialist Education and Training Requirements:
Previous billing experience is preferred. Billing specialist will be trained accordingly. Should have experience with working with people under any conditions. The ideal candidate will exhibit high standards, excellent communication skills, and have an ability to take initiative, and prioritize daily tasks. A strong ability to take charge and meet tight deadlines will ensure your success in this multi-faceted role. Billing background a major plus
Compensation
Hourly Pay DOE $22-$25
Schedule
Work hours: 8:30am – 2:30pm
