Shop Helper / Assistant Hydraulic Technician

Entry Level Position is available for someone seeking an opportunity to apprentice and learn a ton. Ventura Hydraulic & Machine Works, Inc. designs and manufactures custom hydraulic equipment. We have been in business since 1965. We design and build equipment used in many different industries including offshore oil, agriculture, marine, construction, and entertainment. We specialize in building large hydraulic cylinders and custom hydraulic equipment. We are currently adding a Hydraulic and Mechanical Technician 's Assistant / Shop Helper to our valued work force. We are looking for a team player and must be able to work in a fast paced environment. Must be able to help and assist our certified fluid power technicians, machinists, and welders and ideally learn from them to eventually become one. Ability totroubleshoot and repair hydraulic cylinders and/or some fabricating experience is a must. Experience driving and loading with forklifts. Must have valid drivers license as will make local pick ups and deliveries. Mechanically inclined and a quick learner is a must. Able to read, write, and speak English. Self motivated, hard working, analytical, and trustworthy.
