We looking for a construction type assistant/runner for a wedding venue. Our premier event venue located in the heart of Moorpark, California, is in search of a dedicated Assistant/Runner to support our bustling event operations. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys the diversity of tasks and challenges each day brings. Some heavy lifting is required, as well as moving event props, furniture, etc.
Hours: Part-time; flexible hours including weekends and evenings as required by event schedules.
Responsibilities:
Assist with day-to-day operations of the event venue, ensuring smooth execution of events.
Perform various administrative tasks, including scheduling, correspondence, and maintaining records.
Act as a runner for errands, including picking up supplies, delivering documents, and other tasks as needed to support event operations.
Provide excellent customer service, assisting guests and clients with inquiries and requests.
Coordinate with vendors and service providers to ensure all event needs are met promptly and efficiently.
Support the venue team in setting up and breaking down event spaces according to specific requirements.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience in a similar role or strong willingness to learn.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Must have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record.
Flexible availability, including weekends and evenings to align with event schedules.
