We are seeking a skilled and experienced Concrete Foreman to oversee and manage concrete construction projects. The ideal candidate will be fluent in both English and Spanish, possess strong leadership skills, and have extensive knowledge of concrete construction processes.
Responsibilities:
Project Management
Supervise and coordinate concrete construction projects from start to finish.
Plan, schedule, and manage resources effectively to meet project deadlines.
Ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and safety standards.
Team Leadership
Lead, motivate, and mentor a diverse team of concrete workers.
Foster a collaborative and safety-focused work environment.
Conduct regular team meetings to communicate project goals and expectations.
Concrete Installation
Oversee the placement, finishing, and curing of concrete.
Ensure the proper alignment, depth, and quality of concrete structures.
Address and resolve any issues or challenges that may arise during construction.
Quality Control
Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure the highest standards of workmanship.
Conduct inspections and review work to verify compliance with project specifications.
Communication
Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders. Provide regular updates on project progress, challenges, and solutions.
Serve as a point of contact for bilingual communication with team members.
Equipment and Material Management
Coordinate the delivery and use of concrete materials and equipment.
Perform regular inspections of tools and machinery to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs promptly.
Experience:
Proven experience as a concrete foreman or similar role.
In-depth knowledge of concrete construction processes, techniques, and best practices. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Ability to motivate and manage a diverse team of construction professionals.
Thorough understanding of safety regulations and the ability to enforce safety protocols.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to make informed decisions on-site.
Effective organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Certification or training in concrete construction is preferred.
Proven experience in a similar role, with a track record of successful project completion.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
